Vibrant colours for high visibility and early visual identification with skid resistant safety

> Safer Cycle Lanes

The City of Mandurah needed to improve the cycle way safety on one of its high usage roads leading into town. Allnut Street is a very busy long road, so to carry out a road surfacing treatment needed to be quick to install, minimise traffic and resident disruption and achieve a highly visible demarcation for cycle way users and retain its vibrant colour over whole of life.

Antiskid Industries recommended Antiskid Omnigrip CST be installed, because its durable skid resistant coloured resin surfacing system suited for cycleways and areas requiring high visibility on the public road systems. The key safety factor for recommending this is that all road users have a clear, early visual identification preparing them for changing road conditions ahead.

It’s quick to install, with ‘drive on’ within 5 hours in most cases, reducing disruption, noise and inconvenience and leaving a very professional long lasting finish. Antiskid Omnigrip CST is applied to existing pavement surfaces (new or old) incorporating specialist synthetic coloured aggregates ensuring long term colour retention.

The benefits to the City of Mandurah for the installation of 2,124m2 Synthite coloured aggregate was completed in 4 stages over 4 days, with no disruption to road users (no detours or road closures) and no disruption to residents. This was made easier because Antiskid’s fully equipped installation truck was on hand for faster application.
