Perth Arena Stadium Bowl
The existing stadium bowl flooring was not standing up to the ongoing rigours of activity at the Perth Arena and was showing signs something had to be done to improve the quality of the flooring, particularly before the start of the Hopman Cup and the scrutiny it would attract with such a sporting event.
Antiskid Industries advised that it was best to remove the existing floor coating and replace with a solvent free protective coating ideally suited to high frequency traffic and wear that would last the distance.
The new coating offered an attractive, rapid curing, hard wearing easily maintained flexible coating system incorporating a suitable slip resistant finish.
From the time the Perth Wildcats had finished their game on Friday night, the Antiskid team moved in with four big floor grinders to remove the existing coating and prepare the 2000 sq. metre stadium bowl for installation of the new deck. By Wednesday the following week the installation was finished and ready for action again, but with a decking system more suited for the type of activity expected, thanks to the team at Antiskid Industries.
