Vinegar Factory Flooring Solution

> Resistant to Acetic Acid Found in Vinegar

> Best defence against chemical attack

Concrete floors in food manufacturing facilities are particularly susceptible to corrosion and this is even more pronounced where acetic products such as vinegar are used. This potential acid contamination to exposed concrete needed a long-term flooring solution to deliver to the client a best practice outcome. Antiskid were contracted to design and install the solution.

Antiskid recommended Hychem’s Hycrete PU-SL and PU-TC. These products provide one of the best defences against chemicals found in organic acids, such as acetic acid, so it was determined to be the best fit for the clients requirements and would offer the best value for money over the medium to long term. The existing substrate concrete required extensive preparation and repair as a result of previous chemical degradation. This was followed by application of Hycrete PU-SL poly/cement floor screed with a Hycrete PU-TC slip resistant finish to protect the floor and provide extra chemical and slip resistance.
